 The Second Meeting of the Regional Scientific and Technical Committee (RST
 C) is a key event for the 'Implementing the Strategic Action Programme for
  the South China Sea and Gulf of Thailand (SCS SAP Project)'. The project'
 s objective is to assist participating countries (Cambodia\, China\, Indon
 esia\, Philippines\, Thailand\, and Viet Nam) in meeting the approved Stra
 tegic Action Programme (SAP) targets for the marine and coastal environmen
 t of the South China Sea. The main objectives of this meeting\, held from 
 July 23 to 25\, 2024\, in Bangkok\, Thailand\, are to discuss the proposed
  process for the development and updating of the Transboundary Diagnosis A
 nalysis (TDA) and SAP \, options for a regional data and knowledge managem
 ent system \, and the documentation of SAP implementation achievements dur
 ing 2008–2021 and good practices for publication. The RSTC\, composed of N
 ational Technical Focal Points\, Regional Working Group Chairs\, and exper
 ts\, will review the status and progress of the SCS SAP project at regiona
 l and national levels through country reports. The meeting is crucial for 
 strengthening the scientific and technical basis for regional coordination
  and the execution of project activities. The event will conclude with a f
 ield visit to the Marine and Coastal Resources Office 8 and the Don Hoi Lo
 t wetland in Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram Provinces\, Thailand.\n \n{l
